Ustadhah Dr. S. Hussain, an epitome of wisdom, completed her MBBS from Karachi Medical and Dental College and her house job from Agha Khan University Hospital. She then worked at Indus Hospital as child TB clinician. She pursued Classical Islamic Learning from Zaynab Academy where she studied Qur’an, Tafsir, Hadith, Fiqh, Usul-ul-Fiqh and Arabic under traditional scholars and completed her Dars-e-Nizami course.
Ustadhah Dr. Z. Shahzaib is the perfect example of someone who made seemingly impossible, possible. Hailing from Karachi, she completed her MBBS from Ziauddin University Karachi in 2012, with a distinction in Surgery in her final year, and completed her house job from the Aga Khan University (AKU) in 2013. She also interned at the Indus Hospital and Dow University of Health Sciences. She began her pursuit of Classical Islamic Learning in 2010, concurrently with her MBBS studies, studied Quran, Tafsir, Hadith, Fiqh, Usul-al-Fiqh and Arabic under traditional scholars, and completed the Dars-e-Nizami course in 2014. She teaches Tafsir and Hadith to university students and young professional women, and also coordinates dawah and administrative activities at Zaynab Academy Karachi. A truly gifted young woman, Dr. Z. Shahzaib enjoys creative writing and has worked with editorial boards in the past. She regularly delivers talks on purification of the heart, and drawing closer to Allah SWT at institutes such as IBA and Ziauddin.
Ustadhah F. Wahab, the heart and soul of Zaynab Academy Karachi, has completed her Bachelor’s in Speech and Language Pathology from Ziauddin University. She pursued her Islamic Studies from Zaynab Academy alongside her university studies, and graduated in 2013, after studying all disciplines of Islamic Learning in the Dars-e-Nizami curriculum. She currently teaches at Zaynab Academy and demonstrates considerable expertise in Quranic Tafseer. She also teaches various courses in Islamic Law, its foundations, and Arabic Grammar to young girls and professional women. She frequently gives talks on drawing closer to Allah (swt).
Ustadhah J. Adil, a born Karachiite, is passionate, determined and has a thirst for knowledge. She completed both her BBA (2009) and MBA (2011) from Institute of Business Administration, and concurrently tread on the beautiful path of Classical Islamic Learning, studying Quran, Tafsir, Hadith, Fiqh, Usul al-Fiqh, and Arabic under traditional scholars. She completed the Dars-e-Nizami course and received the Alimiyyah degree in 2013. She has been very active in her quest to spread Ilm far and wide, and accordingly has taught several courses including Fiqh, Usul-ul-Fiqh and Arabic Grammar to university students and young professional women. She has conducted several programs including Dars-e-Tafseer, Ramadan Programs and spiritual talks at IBA. Currently, she is teaching at Zaynab Academy Online’s CIL Program.
Ustadhah M. Iqbal is one of the most eminent teachers at Zaynab Academy Karachi. She has been a resident of Karachi, Pakistan since childhood. While she was pursuing an LLB (Hons) degree in Law from the University of London International Programs, she successfully undertook and completed the Dars-e-Nizami course from Zaynab Academy and received the Aalimiyyah degree. Being proficiently equipped with knowledge of the Quran, Tafsir, Hadith, Fiqh, Usul al-Fiqh and Arabic under the training of traditional scholars, she has now joined teaching. She is known for her ability to teach conceptually and make the subject matter easy to grasp. Maheen teaches Quran, Hadith, Grammar and Islamic Jurisprudence to the students of Zaynab Academy. She also delivers talks to university students and young professional women on purification of the heart.
Ustadhah M. Anis, an accomplished writer and content developer, is a Gold Medalist who completed her Master’s in English Literature from the University of Karachi in 2011. She studied Classical Islamic Learning at Zaynab Academy alongside her Master’s education, learning Quran, Tafsir, Hadith, Fiqh, Usul al-Fiqh, and Arabic under traditional scholars for four years. She completed the Dars-e-Nizami curriculum and received the Aalimiyyah degree in 2014. Ustadha takes a keen interest in Hadith, Usul ul Fiqh and Islamic Intellectual History. Currently, she teaches at Zaynab Academy and delivers talks on drawing closer to Allah (swt).
Ustadhah N. Faisal, is undoubtedly one of those who constantly remind others of the beauty of Allah (swt). Born and bred in Peshawar, she received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Kinnaird College Lahore (1992). Nida took short courses on Entrepreneurship and Personal Development and began her pursuit of Classical Islamic Learning at Zaynab Academy Lahore, studying Quran, Tafsir, Hadith, Fiqh, Usul al-Fiqh, and Arabic under traditional scholars. She received an Alimiyyah degree after completing the Dars-e-Nizami curriculum in Karachi in 2014. Nida is the epitome of a seeker of knowledge who travels far and wide to deepen the love for our Loving Creator, Allah (swt). Ustadhah N., now a resident of Karachi, currently delivers talks on spiritual cleansing and development to university students and young professional women, and teaches subjects like Quran, Hadith and Fiqh.
Ustadhah S. Agha is a multi-talented business graduate, having majored in Human Resource from CBM in 2013 and interned at both Pfizer and Meezan Bank Ltd. She simultaneously pursued the traditional Alimiyyah degree via the Dars-e-Nizami course at Zaynab Academy. Her spiritual journey in began in 2010, when she studied Quran, Tafsir, Hadith, Fiqh, Usul al-Fiqh, and Arabic under traditional scholars. Four years later, as a result of careful tutelage, sheer hard work and the Will of Allah (swt), Ustadha received her Aalimiyyah degree in 2014. Now Sufia is a Hadith teacher at Zaynab Academy and regularly delivers talks to university students and young professional women on purification of the heart and drawing closer to Allah (swt).
Ustadhah S. Farooqi, an MBA from CBM Karachi, has extensive experience in Public Relations and teaching young children. She studied classical Islamic texts since 2010 from qualified teachers under the guidance of Shaykh Mufti Kamaluddin Ahmed (db) and completed her Alimiyyah qualification in 2014 from Zaynab Academy. A genial host with an ever-loving nature, she teaches students pursuing their Alimiyyah degrees, and regularly gives talks on Tazkiyah and strengthening our connection to Allah SWT.
